The Horrea
The Horrea (or granaries) were of vital importance for Roman military logistics.
They are a type of building with a rectangular, layout architectonically characterized by wide walls, the presence of buttresses to the exterior and floors raised by means of a system of pilasters in the interior.
They were storage places for foodstuffs, mainly grain, for which the excessive thrust caused by the volume of the goods, on the lateral walls had to be corrected and at the same time avoid aspects such as excessive humidity or the action of rodents.
