The Barracks
Inside Aquis Querquennis there are six barracks of soldiers; lines of rooms in buildings facing each other around a courtyard with wells to collect and use the rainwater.
The rooms are divided into two sections measuring 3 by 3 meters each, designed to house up to eight soldiers. One of them serves as the bedroom with bunk beds for sleeping, the other section is used for cooking, living quarters, storage …
In front of each one, there is also an oven to bake bread and other food.
